What's this, a hot-hatch diesel version of the new Mini? Hang on a minute, the new Mini Cooper D is faster than the old One D - but it's not exactly going to threaten the turbocharged Cooper S hot hatch. But the advent of a 109bhp turbodiesel means that BMW has dropped the One badge and upgraded the oil-burner to Cooper status this time.
The Citroen Survolt goes to the Le Mans Classic
Citroen has been producing some pretty interesting concepts recently, and one of the more recent is the Citroen Survolt we saw at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. At the time of the reveal we heard through the grapevine that Citroen intended actually building the electric Survolt and staging a one make racing series. Yeah, right we thought.
Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept
Lotus has taken away the Exige from its American customers with the Exige Matte Black Final Edition heralding the end, but is planning on giving back something a bit meatier at Pebble Beach trhis month in the shape of the Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept. All we’ve got so far is one (less than wonderful) image of the Evora GTE Road Car and a bit of detail. That bit of detail tells us that the Evora GTE Road Car is based on / inspired by the Lotus Evora GTE, which recently ran the Le Mans 24 Hours, and gets a tuned version of the regular Toyota V6 to deliver 420bhp .
